The bustling and sometimes overwhelming urban jungle of Casablanca is experienced at full speed. Therefore, it’s essential to find a home that resembles a haven of peace, allowing you to recover from all the daily emotions. After all, feeling good at home is the ultimate luxury, don’t you think? That’s where Metropolitan comes in.
This new destination promises to immerse us in the Casablanca way of life, with all its trendiness. How? By envisioning a unique living space centered around lifestyle, combining design, comfort, and local services all in one address, right in the heart of the city. It brings along contemporary high-end apartments, office spaces, shops, and even a Canopy by Hilton hotel. It’s about living in harmony with the times and adding a touch of sophistication.
Let’s start from the beginning. Metropolitan’s first asset is its privileged location in the beating heart of Racine, the city’s lively neighborhood. You probably know La Toscana restaurant? Well, the entire project is situated right in front of it. Can you picture it?
It’s a vibrant neighborhood that houses numerous shops and restaurants and can easily be explored on foot. It also has nearby green spaces like Iris Park or the Garden of the Arenas. For some background information, the residential complex was once occupied by the Casablanca Arenas. That name surely rings a bell. Before being demolished in 1971, the arenas symbolized the city’s festive and entertainment arts for over 50 years. At that time, the cheers from the stands could be heard during bullfights, sports competitions, and concerts by renowned artists such as Ray Charles, Johnny Hallyday, Fayrouz, and Dalida. Today, the spirit (almost) remains the same. The neighborhood is lively, cosmopolitan, and continues to resonate with the hearts of Casablanca residents, both day and night. If you want to learn more, we highly recommend watching “Metropolitan Casablanca,” a TV show aired last June on 2M and available here.
More than just a residential complex, Metropolitan Casablanca offers a lifestyle experience in the heart of the city. The program includes buildings with luxurious apartments (from French-style studios to duplexes), office spaces, and a large interior patio measuring 1500 square meters, lined with flowered paths for relaxation in the evening. But what particularly captivates us is the fully furnished rooftop living space, designed as a suspended garden with landscaped terraces, a play area for children, a solarium, and a picnic area! In short, it’s an opportunity to gain some height and enjoy the unobstructed view of the city and the park. This is a first in Casablanca and an exclusive feature accessible only to residents, as it should be.
Whether you’re a single student, a young couple, or an urban family at heart, the sizes have been carefully designed to cater to all lifestyles. From cozy studios and separate one-bedroom apartments to efficiently designed two and three-bedroom apartments with open American-style kitchens, and even duplexes for the privileged few. The finishes are undeniably high-end, yet with a sober and refined touch. The interior design has been entrusted to Studio Jean-Philippe Nuel, an internationally renowned luxury interior architecture firm known for projects such as Piscine Molitor and l’hôtel la Clef Champs-Élysées, a true design gem located near the George V metro station in Paris. It offers a homogeneous style with just the right amount of sophistication. And for those who are not from Casablanca, it’s a great opportunity to have a stylish pied-à-terre in the heart of the white city.
Continuing the lifestyle concept, Metropolitan Casablanca introduces another noteworthy partner into the arena: the 5-star Canopy by Hilton hotel, the new “next generation” signature of the international hotel chain, specializing in lifestyle hospitality with a distinctly urban spirit. Its goal is to welcome visitors from near and far in a forward-thinking and contemporary ambiance. As a result, we can rendezvous for business meetings or casual chats throughout the day in one of its restaurants or on its landscaped rooftop. We can already imagine saying, “See you upstairs for a drink!”
To successfully carry out this project, Yamed Promotion has surrounded itself with renowned architectural and design agencies. In addition to Studio Jean-Philippe Nuel for interior design, the development of the hotel and residential offerings is the result of a collaboration between Studio YN by Yasmine El Kasri and Nihad Berberović (known for projects like the Marriott hotel in Taghazout and the Luxuria tower in Casa Anfa), and the architectural firm Jawad El Mesmoudi (responsible for the Four Seasons Casablanca and the Hilton Tanger City Center). But that’s not all. TP Bennett, an award-winning architecture and design studio, and EA (Engelmann Architectes) also contributed their expertise to the design of the office spaces. Among their most iconic achievements are the headquarters of BMW France and the M6 television channel. In short, you’ve understood that an exceptional team is behind every wall and aspect of the project.
