Named “Les Arènes,” the new headquarters of Crédit du Maroc will cover an area of 13,000 square meters and will be built over 8 levels (R+7), including 2 basement floors. The significant investment for this ambitious project amounts to 330 million dirhams. It will eventually accommodate 900 employees of the banking institution who currently work in different locations within the group.
As a result of a contract signed on March 25, 2019, between Crédit du Maroc and Yamed Construction, a subsidiary of Yamed Capital, this project “is not just a relocation, it is a major transformation project,” emphasizes Bernard Muselet, the president of the Crédit du Maroc group.
This upcoming transformation will begin with the consolidation of all bank employees in a new and integrated space designed to facilitate communication and teamwork. Certified at the “Well Building” silver level, this new headquarters will incorporate all the necessary elements for the physical and psychological well-being of the teams.
This action will involve the implementation of new forms of work within the future building. In “Les Arènes,” innovation and co-creation will be encouraged, while individual and collective efficiency will also be prioritized.
Scheduled for completion in 2021, this new headquarters aims for HQE (High Environmental Quality) certification with a high level of performance in terms of building integration, energy efficiency, comfort, and quality of life for its users.
Environmental concerns are a major focus of this project, with the use of sustainable materials and installations. The architectural signature of “Les Arènes” will include vegetated panels on the façade, visible gardens from Boulevard d’Anfa, and green spaces within the building itself.
Architects Bridot Willerval and Omar Alaoui, the project leaders, have aimed to combine quality of life and responsibility in this building, designed to provide exceptional thermal and acoustic protection, natural lighting, and significant thermal inertia.
Through the careful attention given to the landscape design of “Les Arènes,” Crédit du Maroc aims to strengthen its image as a socially responsible bank and reinforce its presence as a highly active bank in the national economy.
